PATIENT TESTIMONIAL

"The chiropractic adjustments that I received at Action Chiropractic over the past two seasons (shoulder, back and pelvis) definitely enhanced my performance on the track, especially at the 2007 USA Track and Field Masters Outdoor Championships. I had a series of adjustments leading up to that meet which gave me the confidence and edge to train hard and compete without pain. I placed 6th in the nation in the 200m and 400m sprints, and was part of the gold medal winning 4x400m relay team in the M40 age division."

I know I've said it before but Thx again,

Going through the carpal tunnel
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome refers to a variety of symptoms, including numbness, tingling and pain the in the hand, wrist and arm and associated weakness or wasting away of hand muscles that are supplied by the Median Nerve. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when tendons in the wrist become inflamed after being aggravated. A tunnel of bones and ligaments in the wrist narrows, pinching nerves that reach the fingers and the muscle at the base of the thumb.

Headway Against Headaches
Migraine headaches are characterized by horrible pain, frequently associated with light and sound sensitivity and nausea, and are often preceded by some trigger which might be food or alcohol, medication, stress, or even a smell. Migraine headaches are a horrible affliction.

Closed Mouthed About Jaw Pain
TMJ disorder (or just "TMJ" or "TMD") is the name used for several conditions that affect the jaw (technical term for jaw: Temporo Mandibular Joint). Sufferers of TMJ may have difficulty opening and closing their mouths, especially when trying to speak and chew. TMJ can also cause clicking noises, muscle tightness, earaches and rushing or ringing in the ears, a feeling of the jaws grinding or grating, and pain. Headaches, shoulder, and neck pain can also be associated with this disorder and may be the first thing noticed before TMJ sets in. Muscle spasms, tenderness and swelling of the face and neck can also accompany TMJ.

Fender Benders and Back Pain
Recently, a patient came in and reported that, for some reason, he "just wasn't feeling right". We discussed his life over the last couple of weeks and figured out, to me, the obvious reason for his back pain flaring up.

It seems this fellow was in a minor "fender bender" a couple weeks previous. He said it really wasn't much of an accident and there was very little damage to the car. He took his car in "just in case" and the only repair necessary was to have the wheels realigned. He added that he felt no physical discomfort at all right after the accident so he figured he was "OK".

"In every profession there are only a select few people who truly have the hands and innate ability to master their skill. Dr. Bearden is certainly one of these people and his treatment has most definitely saved me from back surgery. I am self employed and now back on my feet every day doing what I do best.
